Thank you for your interest in the International Workshop on Innovating at MIT, June 10–14, 2019. 

Your application has to be submitted no later than 11:59 pm EDT on April 2, 2019. Due to the limited number of seats, we will not be able to accept all applications.

The fee for the 5-day workshop at MIT is $3,000 (USD) and includes accommodation. We expect to provide applicants with an acceptance or rejection notification by April 19, 2019.

This workshop is supported by the MIT Portugal Program 2030, which focuses on fostering research between MIT and Portuguese universities, research institutes, laboratories, companies, and other entities in the areas of Climate Science & Climate ChangeEarth Systems: Oceans to Near SpaceDigital Transformation in Manufacturing, and Sustainable Cities

Accepted applicants who have been involved in or affiliated with the MIT Portugal Program and Portuguese partner institutions, e.g., students, alumni, researchers, or entrepreneurs, may qualify for a subsidy, covering the workshop fee and possibly other expenses.

If you are a student, when are you planning to graduate. If you are still a student or have already graduated, what are or were your majors or the concentration of your degree program, e.g., Masters in Engineering with focus on mechanical engineering or a PhD in Bioengineering with focus on medical device technology. What kind of innovation and entrepreneurship training have you had so far.
Have you done any user interviews, prototyping, customer testing... share any hard data you may have that validates your business, technology, or idea. It’s okay if you don’t have any progress at this point.
