Federico Cismondi is the CEO and a co-founder of doDOC, an American-Portuguese company focused on changing the collaboration paradigm for regulated documentation. Federico is also the Industry Program Director for the MIT Portugal Program.
Federico was born in Argentina where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and a master's degree in Nuclear Physics. He started his first company back in Argentina, developing and selling software solutions for the Health Care segment. In 2008 he joined the MIT Portugal Program as a student in the Bioengineering focus area. After graduating from his PhD, he started his second company focused on search algorithms, when he met the other two co-founders of doDOC. Federico and his team founded doDOC in 2015, making it the first Portuguese startup to be accepted to Techstars Boston, considered a top notch tech accelerator in the world. Since then, doDOC has been selected as one of the 10 most promising startups in Portugal and one of the 50 to watch in Boston. Federico’s passions include business, artificial intelligence, information management, soccer, and waterskiing.
